The Senior Account Executive – Resale is a quota bearing position with a primary focus on key customer retention/expansion through the selling of resale products and/or related services. This position is responsible for key account revenue maintenance and growth through the development of existing solution expansion and/or generating new lines of business from existing key accounts and the pursuit of sales leads by visiting customer sites within an assigned key account base defined by sales management.

Responsibilities

In addition to face-to-face meetings, the Account Executive – Resale will engage with customers via a variety of platforms/tools (phone, Internet, chat, email, video conferencing, etc.) to close sales opportunities. Revenue growth will also be achieved through the execution of their personalized sales strategy, identification of new opportunities/leads, and tracked by the generation of sales reports as defined by sales leadership. The Senior Account Executive – Resale is an individual contributor seller with proficiency of sales techniques and considered a developing expert on company products/services or area of specialization.  This position is also recognized as advanced individual contributor seller with mastery of sales techniques and considered an expert on company products/services or area of specialization. All levels are expected to complete extremely complex sales with minimal supervision and possess a large network of contacts with a highly visible industry presence. Contributions expected include support of the business unit and effective collaboration throughout the entire organization to achieve organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

 

  • Develop, execute, and fine tune successful strategic sales pursuit plans of assigned key accounts. Plans will include, but are not limited to a) assigned accounts, b) solution research, c) product expansion strategy, d) creative communication strategy and e) alternative secondary pursuit strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, OEM partner field representatives, and co-workers at all levels within OneNeck and territory/market networking contacts.
  • Gather opportunity requirements and participate in technical solution design to develop and present professional sales presentations and correspondence to articulate well-structured sales proposals and contracts, as well as responses to RFPs targeted at specific customer needs and desires.
  • Negotiate, sometimes with the assistance of sales leadership, the final pricing and agreement of opportunities to final booking.
  • Maintain sales CRM database of current and prospective clients, related opportunities, and close probabilities to adhere to defined sales processes and procedures submitting timely and accurate forecasts.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events and follow-up with and/or drive attendance to direct marketing activities.
  • Remain educated on current technology, industry and assigned territory trends/changes including OneNeck and strategic partner products, services, and solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience
  • 2+ years technical sales experience (must include some prior experience selling technology products, IT services, and/or complex technical solutions)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in CRM tool(s), developing sales forecasts and/or utilizing sequenced-based prospecting tools.
