The Account Executive – Hardware is a hunting role and responsible for selling products and services to potential and existing clients, and for introducing the company's full range of products, solutions, and services to key executives and staff of a target list of companies as defined by sales management. Contribution is expected to include support of the business unit and effective collaboration within the entire organization, in partnership with assigned Sales Specialist, Solution Architects and Hosting Services AE counterparts, to achieve organization goals. The key responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Work with sales management to develop successful strategic sales pursuit plans of targeted accounts to maintain and grow an active account base.
  • Pursue new customer relationships to achieve projected revenue growth by conducting cold calling and professional networking activities through the trained execution of predesigned sales campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and account team members.
  • Gather prospect requirements and participate in technical solution design.
  • Develop and deliver professional presentations, correspondence, and responses to RFPs.
  • Create and articulate well-structured sales proposals based on customer needs and desires.
  • Maintain sales CRM database of established and prospective clients. Adhere to defined sales processes and procedures. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience
  • 2+ years technical sales experience
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate

Other Qualifications:

  • Prior experience selling technology products, IT services and/or solving technical solutions a strong plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
  • Self-directed, self-motivated team player
  • Energetic, with a competitive spirit and a results-driven, goal-oriented attitude
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Curiosity and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing environment

This position has an annualized base rate of pay that may range from $70,000 - $85,000 and is based on a number of factors which may include position level, internal equity and market location, and may also vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Compensation also includes a robust On Target Earnings (OTE) plan.
