OneNeck IT Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer – Route, Switch & Security. 

We are ideally targeting to have this position work in the Dallas, TX area.  However, we are open to filling this position REMOTELY in any of the states in which TDS Inc. operates or in/near any of our physical office locations or our customers in Phoenix / Scottsdale, AZ; Denver, CO; Des Moines / Urbandale, IA; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis / Eden Prairie, MN; Omaha, NE; or Madison, WI.

The Network Engineer – Route, Switch & Security provides advanced network implementation, support, and troubleshooting services for OneNeck customers with a consultative approach.  This position maintains consistent contact with customers to ensure that services conform to requirements.  The Network Engineer provides a broad range of services in the assessment of customer's network requirements; including routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies. In addition, this position engages with other divisional engineer resources to provide resolutions for our customers; including possessing an in-depth knowledge of the customer’s infrastructure and configurations.  

The Network Engineer participates in customer projects from up-front discovery and design through configuration, implementation and post implementation support and troubleshooting.  Desirable candidates will have the proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively apply them in varied environments.  Strong communication and customer service skills, including effective follow-up and the proven ability to recommend and describe technical options for varied customer requirements is essential. 

NOTE: This position may be hired at the Network Engineer III or IV level given the skills and experiences of the candidate and business needs.

Network Engineer III

• Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
• 5+ years experience supporting complex Cisco networks.
• Cisco CCNA Certification or willingness to complete certification within one year of employment; CCIE a strong plus.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation.
• Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate

 Network Engineer IV

• Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
• 7+ years experience supporting complex Cisco network
• Cisco CCIE Certification or willingness to complete certification within one year of employment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation.
• Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate

  Other Qualifications:

• Other Cisco Certifications (CCDP, CCVP, CSSIP, CCNP) a plus
• Cisco ACI design and deployment experience 
• Experience with configuring Aruba wireless infrastructure and networking
• SDWAN design and deployment experience, preferably with Cisco and silver peak solutions
• End-to-end QOS knowledge across a Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure
• Security and wireless technologies
• WAN design experience
• F5/A10 Load Balancing experience
• Network monitoring/management software experience
• Skilled in using Visio and other network documentation software
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Complex network concepts and implementations
• Experience working with customers on a consultative basis
• Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative are required in implementation and problem resolution
• Ability to provide technical direction in a timely fashion, utilizing standard methodologies that satisfy customer requirements
