OneNeck, a national hybrid IT solutions provider, has a great opportunity for a Citrix Systems Engineer.  This position encompasses mainly job duties related to Citrix technologies and has a strong focus on desktop management in XenApp/XenDesktop deployments.  This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting of technical delivery issues, policy and procedure enforcement under the best practices established within the managed hosting LOB, logging incidents for any unplanned outage reported by the monitor system and logging incidents for maintenance task and/or configuration change being performed in customer environment. It will also perform installations, configuration, administration and tuning of many infrastructure systems and applications.


**Note: we can hire this position as a Citrix Systems Engineer I or II. Requirements for each position are listed in the qualifications section. We will assess applicants based on skills set and years of relevant experiences.**


We are open to filling this opportunity at any of our physical office locations: Eden Prairie, MN; Madison, WI; Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO or Scottsdale, AZ.

This role will be expected to work across many departments and teams in support of delivering services to OneNeck clients; breaking down any barriers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The Citrix Systems Engineer continuously develops work instructions to ensure technical activities are conducted in a controlled and repeatable manner. This position develops technical plans, conducts technical reviews, and executes upon plans in support of incident, change, and problem management efforts. This role will be called upon as a subject matter expert across many departments and teams.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Being an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations.
  • Being a member of project teams in the planning and delivery of activities to support on-time and on-budget completion.
  • Conducting technical peer reviews of change plans and activities; providing recommendations, guidance, and authorization as appropriate.
  • Continually developing and enhancing technical operating procedures and documentation to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
  • Continuously identifying and owning problems and/or opportunities for improvement; working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes.
  • Periodically constructing and facilitating training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
  • Mentoring and training team members and within peer group.
  • Serving as an expert for customer specific environments.
  • Planning, obtaining approval, and executing planned maintenance and change activity.
  • Identifying and owning problems and/or opportunities for improvement; working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes.


Required Qualifications


Citrix Engineer I

  • Bachelor’s degree -OR- 4+ years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of Citrix experience.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Citrix Engineer II

  • Bachelor’s degree -OR- 4+ years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of Citrix experience.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Other Qualifications

  • Professional or higher level certification in Virtualization preferred.
  • Current Citrix Certification, or commitment to obtain certification within one year.
  • ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Expert analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision.
  • Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
