Overview

OneNeck, a national hybrid IT solutions provider, has a great opportunity for an Citrix Systems Administrator.  This is an intermediate position within OneNeck’s Managed Services organization. The Service Administrators are a team of generalists that provide support for a variety of services provided by OneNeck. The Citrix Systems Administrator will have knowledge in 2 or more of the following areas:
  • Systems such as Windows, VMWare, etc.
  • Storage platforms such as EMC, Nimble, etc.
  • Infrastructure applications in the area of Citrix, RDP, Backups, Monitoring, etc. 

**Note: we can hire this position as a Citrix Systems Administrator II or III. Requirements for each position are listed in the qualifications section. We will assess applicants based on skills set and years of relevant experiences.

 

We are open to filling this opportunity at any of our physical office locations: Eden Prairie, MN; Madison, WI; Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO or Scottsdale, AZ. 

 

We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position and this is not a contract to hire role.

Responsibilities

The Citrix Systems Administrator will work with peers and customers directly to deliver OneNeck services. This position is also be responsible for creating work instructions for the Service Desk to use for resolution of issues and completion of requests. Scheduled activities and low risk changes will also be in their scope of responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Being an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations.
  • Executing planned maintenance and change activity.
  • Identifying and owning problems and/or opportunities for improvement; working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes.
  • Periodically constructing and facilitating training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

This position will allow for the opportunity for the Systems Administrator to grow within the Citrix team and will expand to include multiple technologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

Citrix Systems Administrator II

  • Associate’s degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.
  • 1+ years experience in one or more technologies being supported; experience with, or knowledge of, scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) preferred.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Citrix Systems Administrator III

  • Associate’s degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.
  • 2+ years experience in one or more technologies being supported; experience with, or knowledge of, scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) preferred.
  • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

Other Qualifications

  • Current Citrix Certification, or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable period of time.
  • VMware or Nutanix certification, or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable period of time.
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills.
  • Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
  • Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
  • Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management
  • ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
