    OneNeck IT Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer – Routing, Switching & SecurityWe are looking to fill this position in Urbandale, IA.

    Responsibilities

    The Network Engineer – Routing, Switching & Security provides advanced network implementation, support, and troubleshooting services.  This position maintains consistent contact with customers to ensure that services conform to requirements.  The Network Engineer provides a broad range of services in the assessment of customer's network requirements; including routing and switching, security, and wireless technologies.  In addition, this position engages with other divisional engineer resources to provide resolutions for our customers; including possessing an in-depth knowledge of the customer’s infrastructure and configurations.

     

    NOTE:  This position may be hired at the Engineer II or Engineer III or Engineer IV level given the skills and experience of the candidate and business needs.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

     

    Engineer II

    • Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years of professional work experience.
    • 2+ years experience supporting complex Cisco network
    • Cisco CCNA Certification or willingness to complete certification within one year of employment
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation.
    • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations

    Engineer III

    • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
    • 5+ years experience supporting complex Cisco network
    • Cisco CCNA Certification or willingness to complete certification within one year of employment; CCIE a strong plus.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation.
    • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations

    Engineer IV

    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years of professional work experience.
    • 7+ years experience supporting complex Cisco network.
    • Cisco CCIE Certification.
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance and access to reliable transportation.

     Other Qualifications

    • Other Cisco Certifications (CCDP, CCVP, CSSIP, CCNP) a plus
    • End-to-end QOS knowledge across a Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure
    • Security  and wireless technologies
    • WAN design experience
    • F5/A10 Load Balancing experience
    • Network monitoring/management software experience
    • Skilled in using Visio and other network documentation software
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Complex network concepts and implementations
    • Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment and initiative are required in implementation and problem resolution
    • Ability to provide technical direction in a timely fashion, utilizing standard methodologies that satisfy customer requirements
