    The Engineer III - Systems is an advanced level engineering position that leads on-site installation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems which include hardware, software, and operating systems.  This position ensures customer satisfaction by consulting and advising on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance. 

     

    The Engineer III - Systems is also responsible for maintaining/increasing knowledge of technologies within specific functional areas, maintaining required certifications, and acting as a “trusted advisor” among our customers on technical matters.

     

    **Please note:  We can hire this position as SYSTEMS ENGINEER III or IVRequirements for each position are listed in the qualifications section. We will assess applicants based on skills set and years of relevant experiences.**

    Responsibilities

    • Lead complex projects. Provide advanced level technical planning, implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting services on one or more of product lines or service groups we sponsor. 
    • Analyze complex systems problems and implement solutions. Seek and recommend alternative processes to improve service delivery to the customer in a cost effective way.
    • Configure, install, and maintain software and hardware. Troubleshoot equipment such as servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
    • Create documentation for both internal use and customer deliverables. Produce complete system requirements and/or specifications as appropriate.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in technology (i.e. attend conferences or training, complete vendor provided trainings, review/study technical journals)

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

     

    SYSTEMS ENGINEER III

    • Bachelor degree or higher -OR- 4+years professional work experience.
    • 5+ years experience with at least one Server Operating Systems (Windows, Linux / UNIX or VMware); experience must include server hardware AND administering or implementing systems infrastructure (Servers, Virtualization, Storage, AD, Exchange, SQL, etc.).
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.
    • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations

    SYSTEMS ENGINEER IV

    • Bachelor degree or higher -OR- 4+years professional work experience.
    • 7+ years experience with at least one Server Operating Systems (Windows, Linux / UNIX or VMware); experience must include server hardware AND administering or implementing systems infrastructure (Servers, Virtualization, Storage, AD, Exchange, SQL, etc.).
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.
    • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

    Other Qualifications:

     

    • Experience in MS Azure and O365, including migrations and greenfield deployments preferred
    • Industry standard certifications a plus (MCSE, MCITP, RHCE, ASE, VCP, etc.).
    • Experience with storage (HPE, Dell/EMC), hardware and blades (Cisco, HPE, Dell/EMC) and Hyper-Convergence (Cisco, HPE, Dell/EMC) a plus.
    • Sharp technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Accountable and takes ownership.
    • Excellent customer service, communications, and professional demeanor.
    • Able to manage multiple deadlines.
