    The Manager – Oracle DB & ERP Services leads and manages the department within OneNeck’s Managed Services organization that achieves, and is responsible for, the high availability and high integrity of Oracle-branded database and ERP systems used by customers.

     

    This position sets direction, goals, objectives, and success measures for team(s) of engineers, employees, or contractors who provide the 24 hour oversight, configurations, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these service. The Manager – Oracle DB & ERP Services collaborates with other departments within OneNeck to achieve integrated, compliant, and effective solutions that are consistent with customer contract specifications and expectations. This position also acts as a subject matter expert across many departments and teams.

    Responsibilities

    The Manager – Oracle DB & ERP Services focuses on enhancing and optimizing OneNeck Managed Services around Oracle Technologies, by providing leadership and strategic direction in supporting and delighting OneNeck’s Managed Services Customers, while:

    • Managing delivery of vendors that are providing technical service
    • Optimizing the efficient usage of employee and contracted resources in the interests of improving OneNeck’s financial results, but without sacrificing services quality.
    • Managing and developing staff to evolve their technical capabilities, productivity, and effectiveness of service(s) delivery.
    • Delivering assigned projects within commitments made to customers.
    • Providing and proposing directional roadmaps on how to service OneNeck Managed Services Customers with new technologies along with providing technical leadership around issues and projects.
    • Developing technical plans, conducting technical reviews, and executing upon plans in support of incident, change, and problem management efforts will also be key to this role.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional experience
    • 7+ years of strong technology experience (UNIX/Storage, Network, Enterprise Applications, Database, or Infrastructure Applications)
    • 2+ years supervisory or management experience.
    • Availability to consult, assist and/or perform after-hours support and participate in on-call rotations.

    Other Qualifications:

    • ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred or required to obtain within 1 year of employment with OneNeck.
    • Sound judgment and decision making skills.
    • Good analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
    • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
    • Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
    • Excellent understanding of current IT trends and their impact on business.
    • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience with departmental budgetary and financial management
    • Specific technical knowledge and operational/engineering experience with Oracle products
