    Data Protection Service Administrator I is an intermediate position within OneNeck’s Managed Services organization. The Service Administrators are a team of generalists that provide support for a variety of services provided by OneNeck. A Service Administrator I will have knowledge in 1 or more of the following areas.


    • Systems such as Windows, VMWare, etc.
    • Storage platforms such as EMC, Nimble, etc.
    • Infrastructure applications in the area of Backups, Monitoring, etc.


    A Service Administrator will work in our Data Protection department and will work with their peers and customers directly to deliver OneNeck services. They will also be responsible for creating work instructions for their peers and the Service Desk to use for resolution of issues and completion of requests. Scheduled activities and low risk changes will also be in their scope of responsibilities.


    • Be an escalation point for issues and requests that cannot be serviced by other groups, working issue to resolution, improving upon process, procedure, and knowledge to reduce future escalations.
    • Review daily backup job reports for errors and inconsistencies, create and escalate tickets where appropriate.
    • Execute planned maintenance and change activity.
    • Develop and enhance technical operating procedures and documentation to improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
    • Identify and own problems and/or opportunities for improvement; working toward developing and deploying temporary and permanent fixes.
    • Periodically construct and facilitate training with other groups in support of increasing capabilities, efficiencies, and effectiveness.

    This position will allow for the opportunity for the Service Administrator to grow within the Data Protection team and will expand to include multiple technologies. It will also include on-call as the position expands.


    Required Qualifications

    Data Protection Service Administrator I

    • Associate’s degree (or higher) OR 2+ years professional work experience.

    Other Qualifications

    • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
    • Applicable technical certifications preferred
    • Sound judgment and decision making skills.
    • Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
    • Results and execution oriented, self-motivated requiring minimal supervision
    • Advanced communication skills regarding project teams and management
    • ITIL V3 foundation certification preferred.
    • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
